Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a dynamic and inspiring environment.

About the Role:
  • Support students with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH, in a 1:1 and small group setting.
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage challenging behavior in a positive and consistent manner.
  • Collaborate with Class Teachers and other Learning Support Assistants to provide outstanding levels of support to students.
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service) or willingness to undergo a new DBS check.
  • Childcare-based qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to build positive relationships and rapport with students and staff.
  • Resilient, proactive, and positive nature.
  • Experience in classrooms supporting students with SEN.
  • High levels of enthusiasm, energy, and positivity when working with students.
