London, Greater London, United Kingdom Handelsbanken Full time
Job Overview

At Handelsbanken UK, we are initiating a significant business transformation, a key element of which will be our IT modernization initiative. This transformation aims to enhance our technological frameworks, operational processes, service offerings, and customer engagement channels. Our unique decentralized business model, branch-centric approach, and customer-focused strategy will continue to underpin this evolution, allowing us to meet our clients' banking needs with personalized services and a tailored product range.

The Business Systems and IT Change department is seeking a highly skilled Agile Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in this transformation, particularly within our Digital Transformation teams. These teams are tasked with managing the Bank's corporate and individual online banking platforms, including mobile applications.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced business analyst equipped with a comprehensive toolkit relevant to industry-standard business analysis practices (please refer to the Skills section below). Ideally, the candidate will also possess one or more of the desirable skills outlined, given the role's emphasis on agility, technology, and digital transformation. Experience in the Banking sector will be highly beneficial.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned, agile business analyst with a passion for digital technology and enhancing customer and user experiences. We encourage applications from all candidates who meet the necessary experience criteria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborating within a multi-disciplinary agile team, the successful candidate will oversee the product development of digital services, ensuring a customer-centric, reliable, and competitive digital offering.
  • Provide guidance on the business analysis approach within a specific business area (see skills section below), while also demonstrating a hands-on approach by executing business analysis tasks within an agile delivery team.
  • Establish standards for business analysis governance and guidelines, with potential involvement in a center of excellence.
  • Act as a vital member and contributor to our business analysis discipline and community of practice.
  • Mentor less experienced or developmental business analysts, supporting their practical learning and career progression.
Ideal Candidate Profile

Research indicates that individuals may hesitate to apply if they feel they do not meet all criteria, so we encourage you to reach out regardless of your qualifications.
  • Business Situation Analysis: Proficient in analyzing business scenarios to formulate recommendations for improvement.
  • Feasibility Assessment and Business Case Development: Skilled in defining, evaluating, and articulating business change options concerning financial, technical, and strategic alignment.
  • Requirements Definition and Management: Experienced in managing requirements (e.g., features and stories) throughout the entire delivery and operational lifecycle.
  • Business Process Improvement: Adept at developing new and enhanced methods for executing business activities.
  • Business Modelling: Capable of creating abstract representations of real-world business situations.
  • Acceptance Testing: Proficient in validating systems, products, business processes, or services to ensure acceptance criteria are met.
  • Organizational Change Management: Experienced in planning, designing, and implementing activities to transition the organization and its personnel to the desired future state.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: Skilled in fostering new and improved approaches to business activities.
  • Methods and Tools: Experienced in ensuring the effective adoption and utilization of methods and tools across the organization.
Company Overview

Handelsbanken operates as a relationship bank with a decentralized operational model, maintaining a strong local presence through a nationwide network of branches and a long-term focus on customer relationships. Each branch functions as an independent entity, enabling local decision-making and personalized service delivery. Our emphasis is always on the individual customer's needs rather than on the promotion of specific products.

We are embarking on an exciting Business Transformation journey, which will significantly enhance our technological systems, processes, and services, bringing evolution to our operational methodologies. Join us in this transformative journey, where your dedication, adaptability, and commitment will be crucial in shaping the future of banking for our valued customers.

Handelsbanken is committed to promoting equality and diversity in all our activities, ensuring that we create an inclusive, welcoming, and inspiring workplace that encourages everyone to apply, regardless of their background.

We value our unique culture and principles, including trust and respect for each individual. We take pride in fostering a work environment where employees can thrive and are empowered to make decisions in their areas of expertise. We adopt a long-term perspective in all our endeavors and encourage each employee to build a successful career with the Bank.
