Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our established multi-professional team at the Memory Clinic at Coltman Street, Hull.
The successful candidate will have clinical responsibility for diagnosing complex cases, formulating treatment plans, and prescribing cognitive enhancers. They will work collaboratively with nursing and psychology services to provide an assessment service.
The post holder will be expected to hold and maintain S12(2) and Responsible and Approved Clinician Status for on-call commitments. They will also be required to commute within the Trust's geographical area with access to appropriate means of transport.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose complex cases and formulate treatment plans
- Prescribe cognitive enhancers and review CT scan results
- Work collaboratively with nursing and psychology services to provide an assessment service
- Hold and maintain S12(2) and Responsible and Approved Clinician Status for on-call commitments
- Commute within the Trust's geographical area with access to appropriate means of transport
We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist with:
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months
- Approved clinician status or able to achieve within three months of appointment
- Ability to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty
- Makes decisions based on evidence and experience, including the contribution of others
- Able to meet duties under MHA and MCA
