About the Role
Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Binding Authorities Technician/ Binder Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Technical Team, you will be responsible for creating and managing the full binding authorities process, as well as leading a small team of technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage binding authorities, lineslips, and facilities with assistance from brokers
- Register and upload binding authorities to Atlas, and submit and sign binding authorities into Xchanging
- Prepare, invoice, and send out off-slips/certificates
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of client and broking documents
- Liaise with individual syndicates' delegated underwriting teams
- Ensure premium and risk bordereaux are sent to underwriters
- Handle queries from Xchanging when signing premium bordereaux
- Liaise with accounts department and business units
- Meet all KPIs and adhere to company policies, mandatory training, and financial reporting requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Senior Binding Authorities Technician/ Binder Manager in the Lloyd's market
- Ability to maintain strong relationships with clients and underwriters
- Commitment to personal and professional development
- Effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Detailed understanding of the process and procedures within the insurance market
- Proven track record of handling binding authorities from cradle to grave
- Experience working in property and/or casualty
- Competent IT skills
- Professional and personable
- Ability to think laterally and solve problems using initiative
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Knowledge of Eclipse/Sequel beneficial
- Basic technical knowledge of FCA regulations
