About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons to students with special educational needs
  • Assist with outdoor activities and day trips to promote social and emotional development
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers, and other staff members
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
  • Support students with complex needs, ASC, and challenging behaviors
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of the school's vision and values

Requirements

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs
