Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Domestic Abuse Support Worker to join our team. As a Domestic Abuse Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our qualified staff in delivering care to our users.
About the Role
This is a fast-paced role that requires a caring and attentive individual with strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with our service users. You will work closely with users to manage their needs on a caseload basis, liaising with other agencies to provide emotional support and guidance to achieve a positive outcome.
Key Responsibilities
- Support qualified staff in delivering care to our users
- Manage user caseloads and provide emotional support and guidance
- Liaise with other agencies to provide comprehensive support
- Conduct admin duties and maintain accurate records
- Work collaboratively with other charities and organizations
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need previous experience working with victims of domestic abuse or suitable transferable skills. Desirable experience in the mental health field, dealing with domestic violence, drug and alcohol abuse, and housing and benefits support is also beneficial.
