Job Title: Facilities and Maintenance Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Facilities and Maintenance Manager to join our team at Edinburgh Leisure. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing a team of trades and technical staff, ensuring the delivery of maintenance services, conducting performance appraisals, and supporting professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and developing a team of trades and technical staff, ensuring delivery of maintenance service, conducting performance appraisals, and supporting professional development.
  • Overseeing all planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring they are scheduled and completed in line with current legislation and guidelines.
  • Planning and managing resources, procuring, and managing external contractor services to meet the needs of the business.
  • Communicating the objectives and plans to various stakeholders, including trades contractors, parts suppliers, utility providers, and external auditors.
  • Working closely with Senior Management, Health & Safety, Project teams, Learning & Development, Procurement, Maintenance Team, and Mobile Pool Plant Team.

Requirements:

  • HND or equivalent level in a technical/construction field, preferably with a management element (additional experience required if no management element).
  • An in-depth understanding of the Construction Design & Management Regulations 2015 (CDM).
  • Demonstrable experience leading a multi-trade maintenance team, planning and resourcing maintenance activities, and procuring and managing contractors.
  • Extensive experience in operating in accordance with H&S policies, including conducting risk assessments and ensuring legislative compliance.
