We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team in the London regional office. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing sprinkler systems for various sectors, including fit-out projects, shop units, and alteration projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop the design of sprinkler systems through coordination with client representatives and other service contracts.
  • Contribute to the design program by monitoring progress against the construction program and specification requirements.
  • Issue completion documents and certification.
  • Obtain necessary information from relevant parties for the preparation of fully designed working drawings.
  • Attend site meetings independently to discuss design matters.
  • Prepare complete working drawings in accordance with design codes, including hydraulic calculations.
  • List materials for procurement, estimating variations, and schedule of rates.
  • Forward drawings and quantities to suppliers and subcontractors for procurement purposes.
Requirements
  • Experience in a design engineering role within the sprinkler industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of LPC BS EN 12845 rules.
  • LPCB Intermediate qualification and LPCB Full Hydraulic Calculation qualification.
  • Experience and proficiency in using Autocad 2D.
  • Revit 3D experience.
  • Experience and proficiency in Full Hydraulic Calculation software.
  • Knowledge of Factory Mutual Standards and NFPA standards.
  • HND or Degree qualification in a construction/engineering design related topic.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and work under minimal supervision.
