Position Overview: Duty Manager

As a Duty Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing the daily operations of our hostel, ensuring that all guests enjoy a memorable experience. Your role will involve managing various aspects of the hostel, from budget oversight to guest relations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor team members across all hostel departments, promoting a collaborative atmosphere.
  • Utilize our management systems for efficient guest check-ins and check-outs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and comfort in all areas of the hostel through housekeeping duties.
  • Assist in food service, providing a warm and welcoming dining experience while engaging with guests.
  • Act as the primary decision-maker in the absence of the Hostel or Deputy Manager, ensuring smooth operations.

Qualifications and Skills:
We seek candidates who are adaptable and can manage various tasks effectively. While experience in customer service is beneficial, it is not mandatory. However, a background in hospitality or service delivery is highly valued.

Desirable qualifications include Food Safety Level 2 and APLH Level 2, though they are not required. Essential skills include:
  • Ability to manage high-pressure situations and workloads.
  • Experience in team leadership and development.
  • Strong communication skills and basic IT proficiency.
  • Excellent time management capabilities.
