The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Waking Night Support Worker to join our team at OwnLife Ltd. As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our young residents in a semi-independent setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the Home is safe and secure, safeguarding young people and promoting a positive living experience.
  • Assist in managing resources and providing a high-quality service to users.
  • Inform and carry out delegated tasks as required by OwnLife Ltd and the Management Team.
  • Act as a Key Worker, undertaking tasks such as compiling reports and updating YP files.
  • Ensure young people understand their reports and assessments, contributing to review meetings and individual programmes.
  • Maintain high standards of daily record keeping and confidentiality.
  • Contribute to relevant plans and programmes, executing them under the guidance of the Management Team.
  • Liaise with young people's families and Social Workers, ensuring partnership working.
The Person:

We are looking for an individual with a strong background in working with young people, aged 16+, in semi-independent settings. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • NVQ level 3 in Children and Young People or currently working towards this qualification.
  • At least 2 years' experience working with young people in a similar capacity.
  • Ability to engage young people, meet their physical and psychological needs.
  • Understanding of professional boundaries with young people.
  • Ability to work in partnership with other professionals and with young people's families.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
