Logistics People are currently seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Operators for temporary assignments.

About the Role:
As an HGV Class 1 Operator, you will be responsible for:

  • Driving: Operating modern HGV vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Trunking: Engaging in regular routes, including long-distance transport between distribution centers.
  • General Haulage: Moving various types of cargo from one location to another.
  • Manual Handling: Involves lifting and moving goods during loading and unloading processes.
  • Vehicle Inspections: Conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip checks, reporting any maintenance needs to maintain vehicle safety.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate delivery logs and compliance with company policies.

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A valid HGV 1/C+E Licence.
  • A minimum of 6 months of HGV Class 1 driving experience.

Compensation:
Competitive pay rates are offered, including:

  • Day shifts: £18.00 per hour (including holiday pay)
  • Night shifts: £19.00 per hour (including holiday pay)
  • Weekend day shifts: £22.00 per hour (including holiday pay)
  • Weekend night shifts: £24.00 per hour (including holiday pay)
