Lead Aircraft Maintenance Operations Manager at Boeing

Position Summary:

  • Direct line and base maintenance operations for BDUK.
  • Supervise the Chinook Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO) teams.
  • Support the Vertical Lift business unit effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee Boeing personnel under MAA MRP Part 145 approval.
  • Ensure aircraft maintenance is conducted safely, compliantly, within budget, and on schedule.
  • Collaborate with Military CAMO and Programme management teams to achieve operational goals.
  • Adhere to BDUK MOE and Operations Manual guidelines.
  • Manage technical staff in an aerospace maintenance setting.
  • Act as the Site Lead and cultivate essential relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with Station requirements while supporting the Programme team.
  • Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Drive capability growth and lead the implementation of new processes.

Qualifications:

  • Robust technical expertise and proven leadership abilities.
  • Experience in managing aircraft maintenance within regulated frameworks.
  • Familiarity with military and commercial airworthiness and regulatory systems.
  • Skilled in project management and adept at meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ability to engage effectively with senior officials.
  • Experience in multi-disciplined environments.
  • Capability to obtain a UK security clearance.
