Key Responsibilities- Construct and monitor portfolios to ensure consistency and appropriateness.
- Present performance and pitch for new business to clients.
- Generate trade ideas in rates, credit, and foreign exchange.
- Conduct daily reviews of portfolio exposures to ensure alignment with investment guidelines.
- Monitor ESG scores and carbon metrics using proprietary models.
- Ensure investment guidelines and operational compliance for accounts.
- Escalate compliance issues and work to resolve them as required.
- Utilize portfolio management tools, including trading platforms and Bloomberg, on a daily basis.
- Prepare trades for daily maintenance purposes, correction of guideline breaches, hedge rolls, account transitions, and strategic moves.
- Liaise with compliance to resolve pre- and post-trade issues.
- Attend internal investment meetings and develop knowledge of investment thinking, strategies, and positioning across the firm.
- Propose trades to exploit cross-currency valuation discrepancies and curve opportunities.
- Answer diverse client requests, both ad-hoc and recurring.
- Ensure full awareness of client cash-flows and account transition activity.
- Provide additional checks and balances to ensure instructions communicated correctly and rebalancing transacted accurately.
- Actively suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
- Master's degree level or equivalent.
- CFA certification desirable.
- Strong knowledge of European IG, High Yield, Government bonds, and Foreign Exchange.
- Demonstrated performance track record in European Fixed Income.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of Bloomberg.
- Developed understanding of various portfolio styles and their guideline latitudes.
- Awareness and understanding of key risk factors and metrics within actively managed sustainable portfolios.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, including VBA and Python.
- Solid English communication skills, both written and oral.
