Job Title: Business Growth Manager

Job Summary:

The People Pod is seeking a highly skilled Business Growth Manager to drive revenue growth by promoting and selling our innovative Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) solutions. As a Business Growth Manager, you will be instrumental in understanding customer needs, presenting products effectively, and building strong relationships to achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation:
    • Identify and qualify potential clients through thorough research, strategic networking, and proactive cold calling.
    • Generate high-quality leads and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects.
  • Product Presentation and Consultation:
    • Understand customer requirements and customize LIMS solutions to meet their specific needs.
    • Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the unique features and benefits of company products and services.
    • Provide expert consultative advice on how LIMS can enhance laboratory efficiency and ensure compliance.
  • Sales Process Management:
    • Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to closing deals, ensuring a seamless process.
    • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts effectively.
    • Collaborate closely with technical teams to ensure smooth implementation and customer satisfaction.
  • Relationship Building:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including laboratory managers, scientists, and IT professionals.
    • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to expand your professional network.
  • Market Research and Competitive Analysis:
    • Stay well-informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics.
    • Utilize this knowledge to strategically position company solutions in the market.
  • Sales Reporting and Forecasting:
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of sales activities, leads, and opportunities.
    • Provide regular, insightful reports to management on sales performance and forecasts.
Requirements:
  • Background and Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Life Sciences, Computer Science, Business).
  • Experience:
    • Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably in software or technology solutions.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.
    • Understanding of laboratory work-flows and processes is a plus.
    • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently.
    • Experience in contract negotiation and closing sales.
    • Valid UK driving licence.
Benefits:
  • Basic Salary £40-55,000 DOE over 100K OTE benefits + ongoing training and development.
