Longevity Risk Actuarial Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Analyst to join our Longevity Risk team at Legal & General. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our customers' financial security in retirement and helping companies settle their pension liabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in developing and communicating longevity assumptions for year-end reporting, pricing, and capital requirements.
- Support the delivery of strategic deliverables, including Solvency II capital modeling and year-end assumptions for retirement.
- Monitor population mortality and health data to identify trends and produce regular, timely MI to stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of marginal distributions of uncertainty for base mortality, mortality trend, spouse demography, and associated correlations.
- Produce and maintain future mortality projection models, researching new techniques to improve our modeling capabilities.
- Support the development, review, and maintenance of the Longevity Risk Predictive Model for describing/predicting mortality experience.
- Contribute to research on longevity risk, identifying suitable data sources and potential software to optimize pricing and reserving assumptions.
- Support mortality data acquisition and innovation to enable expansion into international annuities.
- Contribute to or lead on ad-hoc longevity projects across pricing, reporting, and capital, helping stakeholders define problems and develop project scopes.
- Part-qualified Actuary making good progress with IFoA Exams, with previous experience in Life or Pensions.
- Longevity experience/knowledge beneficial, but not essential.
- Commercial knowledge of longevity risk products and Solvency II desirable.
- Actuarial skills for modeling, including advanced Excel skills and experience with R.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with good communication skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing demands and conditions.
