The Study Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Project Skills tutor to join our team at the University of Sheffield International College. As a key member of our Science Team, you will be responsible for teaching Research Project for STEM and Project Skills for STEM modules to international students in classroom-based sessions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Teaching and assessing students in Research Project for STEM and Project Skills for STEM modules
- Marking assessments and providing feedback to students
- Leading the teaching team and ensuring teaching materials are up-to-date
- Creating formative and summative assessments
- Working flexibly as part of a busy team and contributing to meetings
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's or higher degree in an Engineering or Science-related discipline
- Experience of teaching Science or Engineering or a related discipline at RQF level 4 or above
- Experience of assessment marking at a minimum of RQF level 4 or above
- Working knowledge of MATLAB and Microsoft Excel
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
