We are seeking an experienced and skilled Therapeutic Radiographer to join our team at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a key member of our radiotherapy department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver accurate and safe radiation therapy treatments to patients using highly complex treatment machines.
- Ensure that all necessary data is captured for every treatment delivered, maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities to improve the efficiency of the radiotherapy service, implementing changes as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest treatment techniques and protocols, adapting your practice accordingly.
- Provide training and support to colleagues and students, ensuring they meet their objectives and maintain high standards of practice.
- Assess and mentor students, promoting their development and growth within the department.
- Act as a role model for the team, demonstrating excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Support the development of the radiotherapy service, participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the creation of new policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and Trust policies, including the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IR(ME)R).
- HCPC registration as a Radiographer.
- Native English speaker or IELTS Level 7.
- Experience of using equipment to deliver IGRT, SABR, and IMRT treatments.
- Leadership experience, with examples of successful projects or initiatives.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, communicating complex information to patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
