Job Summary:

The Food Service Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the school's food service operations. This position is responsible for assisting in meal preparation, serving food to students, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meal Preparation: Assist in preparing and cooking meals as directed by the head cook or supervisor, adhering to established recipes and food safety guidelines.
  • Serving: Serve food to students and staff in a timely and friendly manner, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Wash dishes, clean kitchen equipment, and ensure the kitchen and dining areas are clean and organized, maintaining a high level of hygiene and sanitation.
  • Inventory Management: Help with receiving, storing, and organizing food supplies and ingredients, ensuring accurate inventory levels and minimizing waste.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations, reporting any concerns or issues to the head cook or supervisor.
