The AICS Group is a leading provider of community-based rehabilitation and support services for individuals with brain injuries, cerebral palsy, spinal injuries, learning disabilities, and complex behavior.

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team and work with a young client who requires support with their rehabilitation goals.


About the Role

Client:

Our client is a 6-year-old male child who requires a Support Worker to provide support with their rehabilitation goals.


Hours Required:
The shift pattern required for our client is as follows:

  • Monday to Friday: 8am to 12pm
  • 3:00pm to 9:00pm

Person Specification:

Essential Skills:

  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in health and social care
  • Basic understanding of developmental delay and cognitive impairment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Ability to work in the client's home
  • Ability to liaise with healthcare professionals daily
  • Ability to take a person-centred approach
  • Experience in medication administration, personal care, and manual handling
  • Willingness to learn and the ability to take on feedback
  • Ability to think outside the box

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience of providing care to people living in the community
  • Participation in Support Worker meetings
  • Participation in person-centred training
