Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Horticultural Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our clients' gardens, ensuring they receive the highest level of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lawn Care and Maintenance: Ensure lawns are well-manicured and maintained to the highest standards.
- Plant Ordering and Maintenance: Source and purchase high-quality plants, and maintain existing plantings to ensure they thrive.
- Seasonal Planting and Irrigation: Plan and execute seasonal planting schemes, including planters and tubs, and ensure irrigation systems are functioning correctly.
- Weeding and Pest Control: Regularly inspect gardens for weeds and pests, and take necessary action to prevent their spread.
- Other Garden Duties: Perform other garden-related tasks as required, including pruning, mulching, and garden waste management.
Person Specification
- Formal Horticulture Qualifications: Hold a recognized qualification in horticulture, such as a degree or diploma.
- Passion for Gardening: Demonstrate a genuine passion for gardening and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Knowledge of Plants and Gardening Techniques: Possess a good understanding of plant species, pruning techniques, lawn care, and pest and disease management.
- Client-Focused Attitude: Provide excellent customer service and maintain a client-focused attitude at all times.
- Well-Presented and Communicative: Present yourself professionally and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Full Clean UK Driving License: Possess a full clean UK driving license, if required.
