Job Title: Regulatory Scientist - Ecotoxicology

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Scientist to join our Ecotoxicology team at Laboratory Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for shaping and executing our ecotoxicology development strategy, enhancing and growing the business through internal and external collaborations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement ecotoxicology strategic growth plans to advance scientific capabilities and meet future regulatory needs
  • Promote the Labcorp brand at scientific events and meetings, showcasing our capabilities through presentations and publications
  • Stay up-to-date with current expectations for technical and regulatory aspects of Ecotoxicology
  • Identify new technologies and applications of potential benefit to drive continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with internal teams and provide customers with advice and guidance on all aspects of Ecotoxicology
  • Lead and develop the Study Direction team, ensuring professional and personal development through training, education, and networking
  • Oversight of scientific, technical, and regulatory conduct of studies, including study interpretation and regulatory acceptance
  • Ensure the quality and on-time delivery of ecotoxicology studies to meet agreed customer timelines
  • Regular customer meetings and engagement, supporting customers with study design, scientific conduct, and troubleshooting

Requirements:
  • Full understanding of regulatory requirements and scientific techniques of Aquatic and/or Terrestrial Ecotoxicology studies
  • Extensive experience of client management and technical expertise in the relevant business line
  • Previous experience in a Study Director role or equivalent would be useful but not essential
  • PhD or equivalent, or MSc/BSc degree in an appropriate scientific discipline
  • Experience of a range of techniques/approaches relevant to the department and/or unique expertise for a specific scientific service
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, and supervision
  • Skilled data interpretation and report writing experience
