We are seeking an experienced Engagement Specialist to join our team at Change Grow Live. As an Engagement Specialist, you will work with service users to identify personalized management plans and activities to support reducing substance use behaviors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with service users to develop and implement personalized management plans to reduce substance use behaviors.
  • Support and advocate for service users, connecting them with other services to help manage their dependencies.
  • Provide crisis intervention and emotional support, using active listening and motivational interviewing techniques to address individual needs.
  • Support service users in developing social skills and behavior management to enhance social inclusion and community engagement.

About You

  • You have a strong interest in working within a drug and alcohol setting.
  • You have experience working with vulnerable populations in mental health or substance use services.
  • You are aware of the complex issues faced by individuals affected by substance and alcohol use.
  • You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You can develop and maintain a strong therapeutic alliance.
