We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join our team in Basildon. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring our fleet of vehicles and trailers are safe, legal, and fit for duty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company vehicles and trailers in accordance with planned maintenance schedules.
- Complete signed service and inspection records, defect reports, and associated paperwork to comply with legal requirements.
- Prepare vehicles and trailers for annual MOT testing to ensure first-time pass.
- Investigate and rectify vehicle defects, performing ad-hoc vehicle repairs as needed.
Requirements:
- Valid LGV C&E license (class one) and applicable vocational training.
- Knowledge of automotive equipment and testing/troubleshooting equipment.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy vehicle components.
- Experience with welding and basic D.C. electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driving license.
