About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled FP&A Business Partner to join our team at GSF Car Parts, one of the UK's leading automotive parts distributors. As a key member of our finance team, you will work closely with the FP&A Manager to support business planning, financial analysis, and modelling. Your expertise will help identify and measure key success drivers, providing finance and business support to commercial, sales, and operational staff.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate monthly cost centre P&L reports by reviewing work completed by the accounts department and preparing reports for internal stakeholders.
- Conduct monthly forecasting and annual budgeting, involving liaison with budget holders, presentation of previous month's actual results, and analysis of variances to forecasts, budgets, and assumptions.
- Prepare PowerPoint presentation slides explaining overhead costs, P&Ls, budgets, and forecasts.
- Report on network productivity and ensure the accuracy of data in our reporting software.
- Analyse payroll versus budget, create forecasts, people planning, and productivity by branch.
- Calculate monthly bonuses for the network and forecast changes to schemes.
- Manage CAPEX spend, tracking, forecasting, and measuring against budget, ensuring budget holders follow process and spend within limits.
- Review business cases for investment CAPEX and ensure quality of ROI calculations prior to management review.
- Support budget holders in identifying efficiency opportunities through data analysis and modelling, proposing solutions to problems faced within the network.
- Implement process and reporting improvements to drive efficiency by moving manual reporting into software-based solutions.
- Support ad hoc investment models and analysis to aid investment decisions.
About You
We are looking for an ambitious candidate at the start of their career, with a strong science or analytical background (Maths, Science, IT, Economics, Business, or Engineering degree). You should be proficient in Excel or have a high level of computer literacy, with a strong ability to learn quickly. As a self-starter, you will be eager to take on new challenges and work collaboratively with budget holders and management.
