Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Asset Project Engineer to join our team at Iberdrola SA. As an Asset Project Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering projects up to 11kV/33kV, typically to the value of circa £5m per project, along with associated unit volumes to support the annual delivery outputs of the district.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Design and Delivery: Responsible for the planning and design of the district distribution network, ensuring system stewardship, network security, and integrity.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that processes and reporting arrangements meet the regulatory and licence requirements.
  • Asset Stewardship: Integrate asset stewardship values through sound engineering principles, coordinated planning, design, and ownership to improve integrity, safety, and longevity of the electrical network while providing minimum scheme costs for customer connections.
  • Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain robust stakeholder and customer relationships on behalf of Scottish Power to facilitate delivery of customer and stakeholder strategic objectives.
  • Safety Culture: Promote an exemplary safety culture and ensure that all safety legislation is implemented and delivered through all activities and incorporated into project designs.
Requirements
  • Education: HNC Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience in a Network design role and relevant network construction and operational experience.
  • Skills: Expert knowledge of design standards up to 33kV, regulatory environment, and commercial awareness.
