Position Overview: Halmer Recruit is actively seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative for a permanent role within a thriving logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager.
  • Support the Goods In Team Leader with daily warehouse operations.
  • Handle the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
  • Receive materials into the warehouse, ensuring accuracy in quantity and quality before storage.
  • Facilitate the movement of goods throughout the warehouse.
  • Participate in daily inventory checks and assist with the annual stocktaking process.
  • Palletize and wrap outgoing finished products.
  • Perform general warehouse tasks as required.

Candidate Profile:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or goods receiving role is essential.
  • A valid Full UK Driving Licence is required.
  • Experience in goods receiving is preferred.
  • Forklift operation experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Sage 200 or stock management software is a plus.
  • Understanding of warehouse health and safety protocols is important; in-house training will be provided.
  • The ideal candidate will be punctual, capable of working independently, and also thrive in a team setting.

Working Hours and Compensation:

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM - 2:15 PM
  • Opportunities for occasional overtime may be available.

Compensation: The annual salary for this position is £26,000.
