Farm Facilities Administration Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Facilities Administration Manager to provide exceptional support to the School of Agriculture, Policy and Development (SAPD) and our commercial farm business. This role involves managing high-level administrative activities, supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the farm and its staff, and working closely with the Farm Manager and Research Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Farm Business Administration: Support planning and resource allocation, manage interactions between teaching, research, and the commercial farm, and assist with budget monitoring, requisitions, and invoice management.
  • Research Administration: Provide financial overviews, assist with staff time-sheets, contract costings, and project financial management. Liaise with University departments for research grants and budget management.
  • Communication and Coordination: Facilitate communication between Farm and Research Managers, manage information for School staff, and act as secretary for committees.
  • Buildings and Site Management: Oversee maintenance, equipment servicing, and space allocation. Coordinate with University departments on construction, housing, and security.
  • Personnel Management: Monitor employment contracts and compliance with HR procedures.
  • Legal Compliance: Ensure adherence to Health & Safety, data protection, and environmental regulations.
