About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Theatre Practitioner to join our team at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our theatre services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as a competent practitioner, contributing to the development of the multidisciplinary team and ensuring the most effective utilisation of resources.
  • Undertake a full range of theatre duties appropriate to the specialty, providing skilled assistance in the anaesthetic and surgical role.
  • Be personally accountable for undertaking a range of enhanced skills specific to the clinical area in accordance with trust Policy.
  • Assess, monitor and evaluate the care needs of the peri-operative patient, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the patient's condition and reporting effectively to the appropriate person.
  • Maintain and ensure that patient safety, comfort, dignity and confidentiality remains paramount.
Person Specification

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with a strong background in perioperative care, who is committed to delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our theatre services. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Registered Nurse on the appropriate part of the NMC Register
  • Within two years of registration, aim to complete the Mentorship preparation programme
  • Achievement of indicators in KSF outline (subset 1 year, full 5 years)
