Job Title: English Game Tester

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented English Game Tester to join our team at 2K. As a Game Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of our games by identifying and reporting linguistic bugs and inaccuracies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Play and test games to identify linguistic bugs and inaccuracies.
  • Check in-game text for linguistic accuracy and correctness.
  • Learn and follow our LQA process and professional standards.
  • Write detailed bug reports using industry-standard bug databases.
  • Ensure bugs are fixed and implemented correctly.
  • Become an LQA expert across a range of projects.
  • Manage and execute test cases throughout the project life cycle.
  • Participate in test requirement gathering with developers.
  • Look for ways to improve and create efficiencies in your work.
  • Cooperate with the QA team.
Requirements:
  • Expertise in European Portuguese.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Passion for video games.
  • Team player with ability to work under pressure.
  • Proactive, tenacious, and enthusiastic.
  • Focus on quality and keen eye for detail.
  • Good computer skills, including word processing, database handling, and MS Office Suite.
  • Right to work in the UK.
Desirable Skills:
  • Previous experience in LQA, translation, or proofreading.
  • Experience with software tools used for LQA testing.
  • Working knowledge of CAT tools (MemoQ).
  • Knowledge of the video game industry and trends.
  • Desirable but not essential: Bachelor's or higher degree in linguistics.
