Position Overview: Our client, Carbon 60, is seeking a Senior Planning Consultant to join their team on a temporary basis. This role is pivotal in facilitating the development of numerous residential projects, revitalizing urban centers, and enhancing environmental sustainability alongside transportation improvements.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a portfolio of intricate and high-value planning submissions across a diverse array of complex application categories.
  2. Provide informed planning assessments and recommendations to the Planning Committee regarding significant and multifaceted planning proposals, as well as making determinations on applications that fall within the Council's delegated authority.
  3. Lead Pre-Application discussions and Planning Performance Agreements (PPA) on behalf of the Council, establishing the strategic direction for major and complex development initiatives while ensuring the Council's planning contributions are effectively integrated at both the application and pre-application phases.
  4. Oversee and coordinate the execution of substantial development projects authorized by the Council, as outlined in legal agreements and planning permissions, ensuring that sustainable development objectives are met.
