Procurement Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Zublin. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for providing market competitive procurement solutions that demonstrate best overall value for money.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide effective and professional procurement services for the operating unit, covering work winning supply chain selection, construction stage project procurement, and supporting the production and driving of the procurement schedule.
• Support the development of work package documents in conjunction with project teams and work package procurement.
• Manage the supply chain, including structuring, performance, and relationship management to drive improved performance and cost benefits.
• Support activities that generate and encourage an efficient, productive, and continuously improving supply chain performance.
• Ensure supplier evaluation forms and risk assessments are maintained and provide a comprehensive procurement service for all projects.
• Demonstrate best overall value for money in procurement recommendations and ensure a robust negotiation process is applied in the engagement process.
• Ensure contract arrangements and package details are comprehensive and protect the business in its dealings with suppliers.
• Support the development of an accredited and structured supply chain that is aligned to the regional demands and overall strategy.

Requirements

• CIPS qualified with experience within a construction/engineering or similar background.
• CSCS Card (relevant type) and relevant competency skills cards where site-based work is required.
• Minimum 3 years Buying experience with detailed knowledge and understanding of work practices, processes, and procedures within the construction process.
• Good existing business network and relationships with the supply chain, experience of running supply chain events, and experience with tendering process.
• Good product and supplier knowledge, good working knowledge of contracts, and good time management skills.
• MS package knowledge (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, MS Project).
