The Role

We are seeking a commercially focused Senior Ecommerce and Trading Manager to lead our ecommerce function as we expand both in the UK and internationally. Reporting directly into the Digital Director, this role will take ownership of the DTC trading channel, drive sales and conversion, manage stock budgeting and forecasting, and enhance the customer experience.

Main Responsibilities

  • Drive Ecom Strategy: Collaborate with the Digital team to develop and execute a comprehensive ecommerce strategy that aligns with our brand vision.
  • Ownership of DTC Channel: Take responsibility for the DTC trading channel, ensuring it meets sales budgets across our 4 Shopify stores.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage annual, monthly, and weekly budgets and forecasts to ensure optimal stock levels and product performance.
  • Collaboration with Merch: Work closely with the merchandising team to ensure optimal stock levels, forecast product performance, and determine buying volumes.
  • Website Performance Analysis: Report and analyze website performance, identifying growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Daily Operations: Manage daily operations on the Shopify stores, ensuring accurate and optimized product listings, trade-led visual merchandising, and navigation.
  • Trading and Marketing Calendar: Own the trading and marketing calendar, working closely with the marketing team to ensure seamless execution.
  • International Strategy: Lead the international strategy, managing all aspects of localizing websites and ensuring a cohesive brand experience across markets.
  • On-Page SEO: Manage on-page SEO, ensuring optimal site structure and technical setup to improve search engine rankings.
  • Brand Guardian: Act as the website brand guardian, ensuring a seamless brand experience at all times.

Requirements

  • Extensive Ecommerce Experience: Proven experience in ecommerce trading and visual merchandising, with a strong understanding of the fashion retail industry.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Experience in budgeting and forecasting, with a focus on driving sales and conversion.
  • Commercially Minded: A commercially focused individual with excellent numeric skills and a strong understanding of the luxury fashion market.
  • Excellent Reporting and Presentation Skills: Strong reporting and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex data insights to stakeholders.
  • International Experience: Experience working in international markets, with a strong understanding of cultural nuances and local consumer behavior.
  • Good Understanding of Creative Needs: A good understanding of creative needs within luxury fashion, with the ability to balance artistic vision with commercial objectives.

  • Localized Websites: Experience launching localized websites, managing multiple languages, and ensuring a cohesive brand experience across markets.
  • Data Analysis Tools: Experience using data analysis tools, such as Data Studio, Funnel, and TripleWhale, to drive business insights and inform decision-making.
