Drax Group is seeking an experienced Electrical or Instrumentation Engineer to join our team at Drax Power Station near Selby.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Engineer to lead both team colleagues and contractors, underpinned with subject matter technical knowledge in your plant area. As an Electrical or Instrumentation Engineer, you will play a key role in leading both projects and maintenance interventions that support the long-term commercial and operating approach in this extensive and varied plant area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Outage engineering support: Long-term plant integrity, preserving the Fuel Processing and Auxiliary Plant systems
  • Delivering an engineering and maintenance strategy
  • Contract management responsibilities: Risk assessment, supervision of contractor work, including setting of work when acting as Contract Owner/User
  • Effective preparation and implementation of work through the work management system
  • Compliance against legislative, statutory, corporate, and site policy and procedures in relation to Health, Safety, and the Environment, Engineering, and Quality requirements
Requirements

You will need to have (or be willing to work towards) a minimum of an HND in an Engineering-related discipline, ideally holding a Bachelor's degree and a member of a Professional Engineering Institution. You will have experience delivering key Engineering projects in operational areas such as Fuel oil systems, Cranes, and Fire systems.
