Fire Engineer Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fire Engineer to join our team at Bennett & Game Recruitment. As a Fire Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our clients' buildings and infrastructure.


  1. Lead on a range of exciting large-scale projects, taking responsibility for fire safety and risk assessment.
  2. Conduct quality assurance of fire stopping and cladding installations to ensure compliance with UK legislation and design guidance.
  3. Undertake on-site inspections to identify potential fire hazards and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  4. Develop and implement fire strategies for new and existing clients, including the creation of fire safety reports.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  6. Review and analyze technical and statutory matters related to cladding, surveys, and high/mid-rise projects.
  7. Assist in detailing compliant remediation solutions for high/mid-rise and cladding projects.
  8. Provide expert advice on fire engineering and risk assessment to clients and stakeholders.
Fire Engineer Position Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:


  1. Experience in Fire Engineering, with a strong understanding of design and construction processes.
  2. A degree in Engineering (where relevant) and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  3. Good knowledge of UK legislation and design guidance, including the Building Regulations and the Fire Safety Order.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  5. A strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex technical information.
