Key Responsibilities:

* Direct and support the staff team as agreed with the Manager and implement high standards of quality practices within the nursery.
* Establish daily routines that encourage independence for the children in line with best practice.
* Implement EYFS and any other legal and statutory frameworks.
* Comply with safeguarding policies, procedures, and the staff code of conduct.
* Undertake any duties set by the management team that will assist in the day-to-day running of the nursery.
* Support the aims and objectives of the nursery and to achieve a high standard of education and care for children from 3 months to 5 years.
* Work in partnership with Parent/Carers and staff to ensure a high standard of care and education.
* Demonstrate a personal commitment to safeguarding and children/colleague wellbeing.
* Ensure that any safeguarding concerns or incidents are reported appropriately in line with policy.
* Be responsible for implementing and monitoring systems of observation to enable children's progress and achievements to be regularly and effectively assessed and recorded.
* Assist with staff development and training.

Essentials:

* Level 3 NVQ qualification or equivalent in childcare.
* Good communication skills and proficiency in the written and spoken English language.
* Extensive knowledge of EYFS and act in accordance with current legal and statutory frameworks, policies, and procedures.
