Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Device Validation Engineer to join our Technology Platform Team in Cambridge. This role will involve designing, developing, and assessing the performance of our core devices, working closely with our Research and Development (R&D) and Production teams to uphold high-quality standards and meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with the R&D and production teams to define validation objectives and criteria, and participate in the formulation and implementation of master validation plans.
  2. Design and implement automated coding to handle extensive datasets for precise analysis of test results, enabling the identification of process deviations and performance anomalies.
  3. Review production test results to identify signs of measurement issues that may be impacting results.
  4. Work to automatically detect and reduce the occurrence of measurement errors.
  5. Collaborate with design, process engineers, and fellow test development engineers to devise new structures for monitoring the manufacturing process and enhance test solutions.
Requirements and Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree or higher in a STEM discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a similar technical discipline.
  2. PhD students in relevant disciplines are also welcome to apply.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  1. Demonstrable use of Python, R, or similar for data interrogation.
  2. Familiarity with statistical methods and data analysis.
  3. Understanding of thin film electronics and its basic components.
  4. A strong understanding of electronics and its core principles.
  5. Demonstrable use of standard electronics equipment.
  6. Familiarity with semiconductor test equipment.
  7. A strong ability to work to tight deadlines and progress multiple projects simultaneously.
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  9. Enthusiasm and a strong work ethic.
