About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Marketing and Communications Assistant to join our team at Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service. As a key member of our marketing team, you will play a vital role in supporting our projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the execution of marketing campaigns and ensure timely delivery of projects
  • Manage social media accounts and create engaging content to promote our services
  • Update website content and monitor digital platforms to ensure accuracy and relevance
  • Coordinate events related to campaigns and key projects, ensuring seamless execution and excellent customer experience
  • Support data management and reporting using tools like Google Analytics and CRM systems
Requirements:
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in a marketing, communications, or admin support role
  • Familiarity with social media management and basic content creation
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive approach to work
  • Basic understanding of GDPR and data protection regulations
Desirable:
  • Experience with customer record management databases, social media management platforms, or basic graphic design tools
  • Event coordination experience is a plus but not essential
Qualifications:
  • GCSEs (A-C/9-4) in English and Maths or equivalent
  • A diploma, NVQ, or apprenticeship in marketing or communications would be ideal, but experience in a similar role will also be considered
