Role Overview
As a key player in our manufacturing division, you will be responsible for assembling products utilized in underwater technology, including sonar systems and current measurement devices. This position offers a competitive salary of up to £28k, with a starting salary of £25k for those with less experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble products from PCB level through to final units, adhering to engineering specifications.
  • Interpret and execute wiring schedules, utilizing appropriate testing equipment to verify assembly accuracy.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies in specifications or designs to the relevant coordinators or managers.
  • Ensure compliance with quality system procedures and strive to meet production timelines.
  • Document non-conformance issues and collaborate with various departments to resolve assembly challenges effectively.
  • Provide support to fellow assembly personnel as needed to facilitate project completion.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow all administrative procedures within the Manufacturing Department.
  • Utilize company IT systems for daily operations, including stock inquiries and part searches.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Experience in manufacturing assembly, particularly in soldering and crimping.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate production tools such as soldering irons and crimping devices.
  • Familiarity with IT systems is essential.
  • Experience with surface mount technology is a plus.
