Job Description

A well-established manufacturing company, Automation Experts, is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join their growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable organisation with an established client base in the UK and Europe.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing customer requirements, visiting customer premises to carry out pre-planned service work and unplanned breakdown work. They will also be responsible for liaising with customers in a courteous and professional manner, keeping them informed of travel arrangements and requirements while on site.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Visit customer premises to carry out pre-planned service work and unplanned breakdown work in the UK and Europe.
  2. Service and breakdown of machinery equipment.
  3. Liaise with customers in a courteous and professional manner, keeping them informed of travel arrangements and requirements while on site.
  4. Complete required report forms within an acceptable time after returning from site.
  5. Follow up on submitted reports to ensure actions are understood and completed.
  6. Keep up to date with all expenses, reports, and latest machine updates through helping test machines while in the office.
  7. Ensure quality and safety are highest priority wherever you are working.
  8. Help develop the brand and service with continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements
  1. Willing to travel round the UK and Europe.
  2. Ideally multi-skilled Mechanical/Electrical Engineer.
  3. C&G/HNC qualified minimum.
  4. Experienced in service work including fault finding on heavy industrial equipment.
  5. Experience in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

This role would be suitable for a skilled Field Service Engineer looking to develop their skills and experience in a reputable organisation. The successful candidate will be based in East Anglia and will have the opportunity to work with a variety of machinery equipment.
