Senior Accountant

Your new company, a well-established accountancy practice based in Manchester City Centre, is seeking a newly qualified Accounts Senior to join their growing Accountancy Services team. This firm specializes in tax, audit, accounts, assurance, and transaction services, offering a wide range of clients, including OMBs, HNWI's, professional investors, and more.
Key Responsibilities- Working alongside the team Manager, you will join the Accountancy Services team, which has a diverse spread of experience from trainee through to qualified professionals.
- You will be exposed to a number of professionals to learn from and grow with, while reporting to the director of Accountancy Services.
- You will prepare and review management and statutory accounts, complete VAT returns, and perform bookkeeping duties, as well as any ad hoc financial tasks required by clients.
- You will support the Manager and Director of Accountancy Services in training and reviewing juniors, as well as working with clients to create and maintain relationships and liaise with them daily to ensure their success.
- In time, you will take ownership of your own portfolio as you progress within the team and firm.
- Prior experience within an accountancy practice is essential, with a newly qualified ACCA or ACA accountant qualification.
- Experience with accounts software such as Xero, Sage, or Quickbooks is required.
- You must be able to work independently, without supervision, and be confident in dealing with client queries and taking ownership of work.
- A high attention to detail, strong analytical approach, proactivity, and performance-driven mindset are essential for success in this role.
- A competitive salary ranging from £38,000 to £41,000.
