Group Leader

Barracudas Activity Day Camps is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Group Leader to join our team. As a Group Leader, you will be responsible for leading a group of children and delivering a range of activities that promote fun, learning, and personal growth.

• Assist with the setup and maintenance of a suitable base room area that is inviting for the children.
• Follow policies and procedures to ensure the children in your care have a safe and enjoyable experience.
• Deliver a variety of activities that are age-appropriate and engaging for the children.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members to deliver sessions and ensure the needs of the children are met.
• Take responsibility for the general welfare and safeguarding of the children in your care.

• Experience or qualifications working with children.
• Aged 18 or over by the start date of your contract.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Provide satisfactory professional/academic references.
• Enthusiastic, caring, and organized with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to effectively deal with unpredictable challenges within the childcare setting.
• Enhanced DBS check through Barracudas or existing enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

• Ensure the company fulfills all its Health and Safety obligations.
• Deliver activities that are appropriate for the children in your care within the scope of your qualifications, skills, and knowledge.
• Encourage the children to participate in new activities and ensure the activity program is as directed on the timetable.
• Carefully follow all camp systems, including registration and collection procedures, Health and Safety systems, and guidelines on good practice in child welfare.
