Senior Field Engineer (MEP)

As a Senior Field Engineer at London Gatwick, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of construction industry experts, contributing to the development and growth of the world's most efficient runway airport.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Replacing boilers with all-electric, non-fossil fuel plants
  • Transitioning to refrigerants with lower global warming potential

Your role will be crucial in helping Gatwick achieve its sustainability goal of reducing emissions by 2030.

This is an excellent opportunity to directly observe and influence Gatwick's journey to Net Zero.

As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will be involved from the early stages of projects, defining technical scopes, aligning project delivery with business requirements, and ensuring these are carried through from design to construction and handover.

Working closely with the Project Management team, you will supervise multi-disciplined construction projects, ensuring successful delivery and compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Experience in on significant mechanical, electrical, plumbing and heating projects
  • Understanding of the importance of controlling and managing the project close out and handover process
  • Experience as a Senior Field Engineer or Section Engineer managing complex multi-year and £multi-million projects
