About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join our team as a Functional Assessor. As a Functional Assessor, you will play a crucial role in assessing individuals and how their disabilities or conditions affect their work life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough medical assessments of individuals to determine the impact of their disabilities or conditions on their work life.
  • Draw on your clinical expertise to gather medical history and perform physical examinations.
  • Produce concise, accurate reports for the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) to inform benefit eligibility decisions.
  • Meet with individuals face-to-face and via telephone/video, demonstrating sensitivity, compassion, and best practice standards.
Requirements
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Minimum 12 months' post-registration experience within the past five years.
  • Continuous Professional Development (CPD) present on your CV.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and respond to a rapidly changing environment.
  • IT skills and experience of using a range of software.
  • Self-aware and focused on professional development.
  • Honest and able to maintain integrity and customer confidentiality.
  • Motivated to contribute to quality customer service, demonstrating empathy, respect, and sensitivity in assessment delivery.
  • Able to work on your own initiative to meet deadlines and standards.
  • Ready to work as a reliable and efficient team member and willing to support the multi-disciplinary team.
