Commercial Finance Manager - About the Role

The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations within a project-focused environment. This position requires a deep understanding of financial management principles, as well as the ability to effectively collaborate with project teams to ensure financial objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide financial leadership and guidance on all aspects of project financial management.
  2. Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for construction projects.
  3. Analyse financial data to support decision-making processes and optimise project performance.
  4. Collaborate with project managers to ensure alignment on financial strategies and objectives.
  5. Monitor and report on project financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  6. Ensure that the project is adhering to the budget with full awareness of the commercial and service levels agreements being met by sub-contractors.
  7. Develop financial controls within the project finance team to ensure that objectives are being met.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  1. A strong background in commercial finance management, preferably within the construction industry.
  2. Proven experience in financial analysis and budgeting.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with project teams.
  4. Advanced Excel skills and experience of working with financial software.
  5. A deep understanding of financial management principles and practices.
