We are seeking a highly skilled Hydraulic Modeller to join our Water and Wastewater Team in Liverpool/Manchester. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing computer models to investigate flooding and environmental problems, and generating outline solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and build hydraulic sewer models to investigate flooding and environmental problems
  • Analyze model outputs to identify areas of concern and develop recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop 1D and 2D models to investigate flood risk and flooding mechanisms
  • Use GIS software to support our understanding of complex environmental problems
  • Develop reports and other project deliverables to communicate findings and recommendations to clients
  • Support junior members of the team to proactively solve environmental problems for our clients

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of the UK water industry, environment, and sustainability
  • Previous experience in wastewater modelling using InfoWorks ICM
  • Proactive self-starter with a desire to learn and develop technically
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
