Overview:

Embark on a comprehensive apprenticeship in the field of Electrical Engineering, where you will gain insights into the captivating processes involved in sugar manufacturing and the sophisticated operation of electrical and mechanical systems, including advanced programmable control technologies.

Program Details:

This extensive 42-month program is structured in alignment with the Maintenance and Operations Engineering Standard, culminating in a Level 3 qualification in Maintenance and Operations Engineering. You will acquire hands-on experience that will equip you for a future role as an Electrical Technician.

Your apprenticeship will take place at various factory locations, with a standard workweek of 5 days, Monday through Friday, consisting of 8-hour shifts. Additionally, you will attend educational sessions one day each week. As you transition into the Electrical Technician role, you may be required to adopt a 12-hour shift schedule, working 4 days on and 4 days off, which may include weekends and public holidays.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Must reside in the UK and possess eligibility to work.
  • Completion or forecast of at least 5 GCSEs at Level 4/C, including Mathematics, English, and a Science subject.
  • Ability to commute for weekly college attendance.
