About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection and Compliance Specialist to join our team at IAG Loyalty. As a key member of our Legal Operations and Compliance Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's compliance with data protection regulations.

Reporting to the Data Protection Officer, you will be responsible for integrating data protection across all levels of the organisation, supporting the growth of the business by ensuring a Privacy by Design approach is embedded in all new initiatives and projects.

You will have a wide-reaching role, interacting with various stakeholders across the business, including the Growth Team, British Airways Holidays, and IAG Loyalty Retail.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Data Privacy Governance: Support the Data Protection Officer in developing and implementing the Data Privacy Programme and maintaining Data Protection Policies and guidelines across the business.
  2. Training and Awareness: Deliver training and awareness to IAG Loyalty colleagues to build a culture of data privacy within the organisation.
  3. Data Mapping and Register: Provide advice to colleagues on data privacy matters, including new and existing projects, product proposals, and business as usual activities.
  4. Third Parties: Support the provision of data protection contractual terms when working with third parties, working closely with the Contracts Team.
  5. Data Breaches: Assist with the investigation of data breaches and complaints, working closely with the Risk Team.
What We Need from You

We need someone with knowledge of the data privacy landscape, the pertinent approaches, and the likely challenges. You should have a strong analytical and problem-solving skillset, as well as excellent communication skills to act as a point of contact for data protection matters.

You will also need to be able to work remotely, be self-organised, and have prioritisation skills to independently manage your workload.
