Welder Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Uber Boat by Thames Clippers. As a Welder, you will be responsible for carrying out and maintaining all welding and fabrication works at our Dry Dock facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Dry Dock team to ensure fabrication works are integrated into the overall plan.
  • Assist with continuous improvement of vessel structures to ensure an efficient operation.
  • Carry out structure repair on all ramps and assist with in-water repairs under the direction of the Head of Engineering.
  • Manage all welding materials, stores, and equipment within your area of responsibility.
  • Report back to the senior engineering team in accordance with internal processes and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Coded Welder C/W certification.
  • Experience in aluminium fabrication/welding.
  • Proof of welder approvals to BSEN ISO : 2004 or similar Class Society assessed welding procedures.
  • Mig/Tig welding capability with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
