About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities and Maintenance Manager to join our team in Newcastle. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure the optimal performance of our facilities.
  2. Manage and coordinate maintenance activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  3. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and health and safety standards.
  4. Oversee building projects and renovations, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  5. Develop and manage maintenance budgets, including vendor contracts and inventory management.
  6. Coordinate work performed by external vendors, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  7. Manage the repair and maintenance of MEWPs, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Experiences:

At least 3 years' experience in a similar position, with a strong background in maintenance and facilities management.

Skills:

  1. Technical understanding of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, including legislation.
  2. Proficiency in operating modern maintenance technology, including ERP and CRM systems.
  3. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to translate complex information.
  4. Experience in leading a team, with a strong focus on safety and quality.

Work Conditions

Based in Newcastle, with regular travel to other sites as required.
