Are you passionate about making a significant impact by advocating for the rights of employees facing workplace challenges?

We are currently seeking a full-time Employment Solicitor to enhance our esteemed legal team. In this role, you will manage a diverse array of employment law cases, championing the rights of individuals confronting workplace-related issues.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

· Addressing discrimination and harassment claims

· Navigating disciplinary procedures and grievances

· Handling unfair dismissal cases

· Representing clients in employment tribunal claims - advocacy skills are a plus

· Drafting and negotiating settlement agreements

· Advising on restrictive covenants

· Managing TUPE matters

· Facilitating dispute resolution

· Engaging in ACAS and early reconciliation processes

· Advising on redundancy and restructuring

· Drafting staff handbooks

· Ensuring compliance with equal pay rights

· Advising on flexible working arrangements

· Navigating data protection issues

· Drafting terms and contracts of employment

· Advising on maternity and paternity rights

Knowledge & Experience Required:

Management of a personal caseload encompassing both Respondent and Applicant work from initiation to resolution Representation at Tribunal, including advocacy services Evaluation of settlement options in the client's best interests, considering their circumstances and assessments of potential outcomes Efficient management of client work in accordance with established procedures and quality standards Exploration of various funding options with clients, including CFA, DBA, private retainers, and insurance policies Ensuring timely payment for work on account before commencing work when applicable Adherence to Solicitors' Accounts Rules and the Solicitors' Code of Conduct Maintaining transparent communication with clients, both orally and in writing, with accurate records on the electronic case management system Cultivating positive relationships with external organizations to expand the department and increase revenue Engaging in ongoing professional development, including at least 16 hours of Continuing Professional Development annually Compliance with SRA training requirements and assisting with in-house training as needed Collaborating with department heads to promote the firm's services and uphold its values Undertaking additional duties as required by the Directors.

Essential Qualifications:

Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience Strong understanding of employment law principles and relevant legislation Proven ability to manage complex employment law cases with professionalism Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong client management and negotiation skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with effective time management Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and ethical standards.
